The Evergreen State Fair Part 3- Goats!!

We spent quite a bit of time in the Goat barn due to these little guys. Pigmy Goats are popular animals in this area and there were several groups here. There are always babies playing and much laughter is heard in this barn. I would love to have a bunch of these running around the yard. I don't think I could convince the association that they are dogs though. lol

These Angora goats came right up to me to get petted. I fell in love with the little guy with the white face. He looked like someone styled his forlock with gel, making it stand straight up. The white ones were not having any petting going on at all. Don took the picture of the greys to remind us of why the raw mohair is soo dirty. ;)

In the sheep barn (next post) we ran into a customer of mine and had her take us over to her goats. They have Nubians and Lamancha goats. The Nubians were done being shown and were already back at the farm, but the Lamanchas were still there waiting for show time. Many people do not know that Lamanchas are born without the typical ears that hang down and she said that the most common question they get at a fair is "What happened to thier ears?!".
