What Hubby's Been Up To

The story of our front deck is a long and twisted one. It started way back when we moved here and has morphed itself several times over the years. Way back when....it was an uncovered basic deck with handrails, etc. Some time ago it was lowered a couple of feet to enable a roof to be placed over it. At that time the rotten handrails were removed and the stairs reconfigured. It's latest morph happened this weekend. Hubby retro fitted in new handrails and sides on two sides of it. (Mainly to keep Sir Tucker Roo on the porch and out of the garden!) Thus the Red Neck Barricade was peeled away for the weekend while the retro fitting took place. There are still some minor things to be finished to enable the complete banishment of the Red Neck Barricade, but he poured a lot of hard work and effort into getting it this far during his time off. I know he has more plans for this project, but really...he deserves a full post on this one.
So I give you a series of "Before", "During" and "After" shots. I'll leave it to him to tell you about the "fun" stuff; such as Tucker licking the paint off the boards as fast as Hubby was applying it! lol
