Tucker Update

I know, I know what a boring title for such an interesting little darling. I had a few more catchy ones I was going to use, but Tucker vetoed them. He was horrified at "HE'S FIXED!!!!", and fairly growled at "Nutt-ing Going On Here". So there you have it....Tucker update. Blah! Everyone is a critic.

Just a quick post to let you all know that Tucker is doing dandy. "Surgery" went fine, he came out of it like half the 7 dwarfs. (IE..Grumpy, Dopey, Sleepy, Bashful, and Goofy even stopped in. lol) We (I) opted to bring home some extra sedatives to help keep him from being too active for a few days, and to help get him through the fireworks parade that is our neighborhood. He doesn't mind them to much, but with being a bit sore and confused, I didn't figure he needed "agitated" to go along with it. He wasn't allowed to eat or drink at all yesterday, but the vet said he could have as much ice as he wanted. As our weathers been in the 80's and 90's, I filled that bowl up as often as possible. In the pic, he's laying with is muzzle over the bowl to cool off and also so he could lap at the ice without too much effort. I know...pitiful.

He has spent most of today outside sleeping in the shade and will come back inside tonight. Then it's off to work with me in the morning. We'll head in early to take a walk before work, but I don't foresee a 45 minute walk in the morning. (With the shaving they did on him, the stubble left is causing some "chaffing" when he walks about too much.) I predict his fan club will arrive throughout the day to give much needed sympathy and attention. ;) He should be fairly full of himself by the time we get home. lol
